North Wolf creates a collection of Minnesota-inspired handmade products. My specialty is artisan candles—everything from dessert candles and nature candles to sculpted candles like pinecones and celebration sets for birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries. My signature candle is the Lake Superior Agate candle, a clear gel wax with beach sand from DL Beach, a seashell from Daytona Beach, Florida, and a polished Lake Superior agate, presented in a lower-priced mason jar (6 oz) and an 8 oz iridescent glass container. And every Lake Superior candle contains a 1+ oz polished, beautiful, 3 billion-year-old State of Minnesota Gemstone, a Lake Superior Agate, which has been studied by scientists and is generally accepted and believed to be the oldest agate in the world.
What a great place to behold, a state filled with volcanically created and oh-so-beautiful artistic features, made by the Creator. Just one of many beautiful and natural scenes and stories throughout our diverse state. It just goes to show that when God created this world, He put a lot of thought into it. I am proud to be born and raised here and enjoy interacting with others in the world who are the creatives, curious, chatty, and oh-so-Minnesota-nice friends. Our occupation/invasion over the harsh year, especially this past winter, left scars that in our hearts gave us the chance to show the world who we are. Minneapolis, as Minnesotans know and practice and perfect so many honorable traits of character.
I loved how Minneapolis showed the whole world how we treat each other, help others, and protect our neighbors against harm. Minneapolis, as well as other pockets in the state, reminds us to be the Good, do the right thing, and have fun while you’re at it. It’s a privilege to be here, start my company here, and bring more joy and warmth to our neighbors, summer friends, and everyone who travels Highway 10, a very busy US highway, and decides to stop at our summer market. We are so happy to build our lives around our passions; we create work that fulfills, have a work/home balance, and show you in person how we live our lives and will protect and help others, just as others would help us.
Our work is inspired by the cultures and traditions of the Northwoods. I’m influenced by Anishinaabe and Scandinavian heritage that has shaped me genetically and culturally, and has been the state where I got my real education in college, with so many intelligent, fun, and accommodating professors and the friends and mentors I got from our State University System. They taught me how to think critically and to question. In so many ways, they allowed us to master the challenging curriculum of a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration of any organization when something seems “off,”
I I loved being a 3M scholar and intern spending my weekends in the Headquarts of 3M, having lunches with the President and board members, and how to professionally engage at a level I have never seen. How lucky! I really understood by my senior year that these are all mathematical word problems. And to some geeks like me, I love to deep dive the math, programming languages, new and efficient ways to maximize the productivity and minimize the losses, and to understand that exponential growth of a brand/company takes a lot of time, planning, daily work, supervision of managing, and even doing complex problems
I have not encountered for so long. To me, it’s really hard. As spring approaches, life in the real world seems so upside down. I have to face daily fears with grit and a grin.
I am grateful to be born, raised, and living here, passing down cultural heritage and processes for making life a little better. I am so happy to be from Minnesota. Many of my recipes and techniques are culturally passed down or derived from family traditions and local gatherings of other creatives. My retail location is in Wadena, Minnesota, where I sell my goods and offer 1-hour classes for locals and tourists.
The market where I sell my goods is more of a family destination of bonding, good food, restrooms, picnic areas, and classes where parents can connect with their children or friends can bond unplugged from devices. It’s something that’s highly anticipated to bring in new revenue streams and provide a wider exposure to the brand and its offerings, while creating a memorable stop that is sure to bring in repeat customers.
Along with candles, room sprays, body sprays, and perfumes, I also make natural bath and skincare products like soap art bars, liquid hand soaps, lotions, facial mists, and hair and skin treatments. Many of my scents are original blends that capture things people associate with Minnesota—lakes, cabins, berry desserts, campfires, and café treats. Then, there’s some art, created from classes I have taken, and works that I think you might really like as you decorate for summer.
A lot of people purchase our items for gifts, and we are happy to announce that we can offer so many fun and charming items that add sparkle to your party, special event, or celebration, as we feel so excited to offer special touches such as bulk orders of the “Minnesopas” as gifts because they’re unique.
We can do an arrangement of personalized candles and candle holders to really light up your night with style, class, and intoxicating scents. So remember us, especially for bridesmaids, graduations, milestone birthdays, lake-house gatherings, anniversaries, welcome home parties, and other celebrations. We have a catalogue of ideas for you to explore along with prices, so you can decide how grand of a candlelit event or bridesmaids’ party you could do. Call the Minnesopa girl to help!
